ECHS BBall Family,
What a great summer! It was a lot of fun to see all the new guys come together and learn to compete at a high level. There were a LOT of new faces in tiger uniforms this summer, and I thought the group really showed signs of growth and the beginnings of some chemistry this summer... it was cool to watch.
I want to thank the assistant coaches for running the show and accommodating my rather aggressive travel schedule. Coaches Lopez, Minnick, and Heintschel did a great job with the boys while I was in Japan and up in Oregon.
I also want to wish a heartfelt goodbye to Coach Heintschel, as he moves with his family to Idaho. He has been a part of this program for most of the past seven years, as a player for four years and then a coach, and his presence as part of the program will be sorely missed. THANK YOU PETE!!!
Today begins our CIF no-contact period, where the coaches are prohibited from contacting the athletes for a two week stretch. If you have any questions, I can still answer them, but I will be pretty radio silent until August.
Once school gets back into session, we will begin our morning open runs. We will also be participating in a Fall League, playing games on Saturdays. Stay tuned for info!
Please let me know if you have any questions, and I'll see y'all when the school year begins!
Coach V
