ECHS BBall Family,
I wanted to reach out and give you guys a quick update. As of the writing of this email (news moves quickly these days!) there are very few updates from the Governor's Office or from CIF. However, if good news DOES come, we are going to need to ramp up pretty quickly. Therefore, I want to start up our preseason conditioning program next week. While we are still not allowed in the gym, we can adjust and work outside and start getting into shape.
All of these activities are OPTIONAL, but I'd recommend the boys attend as much as they are able. Students do not need to attend all five days if they don't want to, but if they are anything like me, they are likely getting antsy, so I wanted to make opportunities available each day.
We will meet each day next week (Monday through Friday) at the tables in front of the gym at 4pm. As we will not be going into the gym, players should bring outdoor shoes. We will run on the field all days, and do some basketball skill work on the outdoor hoops two days as well. The skill work will be split up by age, since we are limited in space.
Therefore, here is a very tentative schedule for next week. This is subject to change, but barring updates from me, this is what we will go with:
MON - 4-5pm speed work
TUE - 4-5pm speed, 9th and 10th grade skill work
WED - 4-5pm speed work
THU - 4-5pm speed, 11th and 12th grade skill work
FRI - 4-5pm speed work
Again, this is very subject to change. But I'd rather have us planning on doing SOMETHING than sitting around waiting any longer.
