Soccer families,
A wonderful performance on Tuesday by JV against Classical Academy resulting in a 7-2 win. What a great start to the season!
Varsity have their first game tomorrow (Monday) away at the Army & Navy Academy. The address for the Army & Navy sports complex is as follows: 2600 Carlsbad Blvd, Carlsbad, CA 92008. Kickoff is at 4pm and we would like you to be at the field no later than 3:15pm please. It is an away game so you need to wear your white shirt and socks. Also, please bring plenty of water.
If you need a ride, please let us know as soon as possible. Also, as always, if you are unable to make the game or you are running late on the day please send a text or email to let us know.
JV will be practicing on Monday. Varsity & JV will be practicing on Tuesday at 6pm and we will finish practice with a thanksgiving feast of pizza and soda :). We will also be giving out last year's uniforms for anybody that wants them for training. If you played last year but you will be missing practice and want your uniform from last year, please let me know and I will reserve your old uniform for you. There will be additional uniforms from last year available for our new players should they want one.
Here is the full schedule for this week:
MON - Varsity game away at Army & Navy- 4pm kickoff - be there at 3:15 and wear white; JV practice 6pm - 8pm
TUE - Varsity & JV practice 6pm - 8pm
WED - No practice
THU - No practice - Happy Thanksgiving!
FRI - No practice
GAME SCHEDULE: The full game schedule is available on the Repu app and on the school athletic web pages (https://weareescondido.org/boys-soccer/varsity/schedule).
SOCKS: If anybody still needs socks then please let us know and I will bring them to the game and/or practice. The socks are $15 for 2 pairs (black and white).
DONATION: A big thank you to all those families that have donated already, your contribution is greatly appreciated. I respectfully request that all families make a donation to the program. The suggested donation amount is $100 but any amount, no matter how small, will be greatly appreciated. The program is free and the donation is voluntary but, as you all know, as a charter school, our funding is limited and for game fees, uniforms, balls, nets, pinnies, etc the cost of the program is significant. This year we have already purchased balls, uniforms, training vests, and have other items on our list of needs.
Thanks,
Coach Bentley (760-443-1396)
