ECHS Football Family,
We are less than a month away from the start of our football season and we need your help to make our this years team experience the best it is capable of becoming. We count on all our families getting involved and serving our student athletes hearts and not just their talents. Here are some ways to get involved:

In closing, there is a saying we use that "Everyday and every way we get a little better." Week 2 of workouts proved that as you all continue to improve from week one. Different seniors shared this week on four new building blocks (John Wooden Pyramid of Success) : enthusiasm, self control, alertness, and initiative. I have been really proud seeing our team put these building blocks to work already as many of them have been extremely responsible in taking initiative by asking questions and communicating with our coaching staff. I hope you all have a great Fourth of July!!!

We will see you all at ECHS Tuesday July 5th at 8:00am as we enter week 3/4 of our summer conditioning.

DYK 04 - Summer Conditioning - Summer Workouts Q & A

Summer Conditioning Week 03 (July 5-7) 8AM-9:30AM
** Note we will take Monday July 4th off this week for workouts **

Summer Conditioning Week 04 (July 11-14) 8AM-9:30AM

Q - Do I need to complete a waiver to attend summer workouts?
A - Yes. A Summer Conditioning Waiver Form can be digitally filled out at: https://bit.ly/ahcsrelease

Q - Do I have to attend Summer Conditioning?
A - Summer Conditioning is a voluntary OTA. We recommend that every player go through these 4 weeks to prepare their bodies for a football season.

Q - What if I have a family vacation planned or summer camp?
A - Although we did hand out our team calendar in January so that families could plan vacations and camps, we understand that sometimes there will be a summer conflict. Rule of thumb is, “If you are in town during summer conditioning be at the workouts. If you are out of town, have fun with your family and friends.” Just remember to wear sunblock! SPF 50!

Q - Where and when do the summer conditioning practices take place?
A - We start practice the first week at 6PM sharp at Escondido Charter High School

Q - What should I bring to the Summer Conditioning Workouts?
A - Cleats, black shorts, and your spring football t-shirt (Football Team will provide you a workout shirt). Also a water jug to stay hydrated and a healthy snack. On a side note it is really important that you drink a lot of water the day before your workouts and during workouts.

Q - What days of the week do we work out?
A - We run our summer conditioning program Monday - Thursday.

DYK 05 - Passing League - Passing league games are designed for 7 on 7. If you are a Defensive Lineman or an Offensive Lineman you are not required to attend the games... but you are welcome to come and support your team. Everyone will need to work out your own transportation to and from these passing league games, so please plan ahead.
