Phase 2 of our fall football program (Football Players Only) Weights and Conditioning program starts this week October 6th and 8th. Our workout times will be from 3:15-4:45 right after school. One new change as to keep in mind is that as we rotate groups from outside to inside our athletes will need to wear masks as they enter indoor spaces and as always coaches will wear masks during all workouts.
With all that said, I just want to take a moment to say thank you to all our athletes, families, and coaching staff. I believe it is fair to say that this has been unique time with challenges but what I have loved about our football community is that you all have lead with courage so beautifully! Encouraged and thanked others, helped others, and have you been extremely patient through out this process. I could not be more proud to be a part of this team... our team! Let's keep leading and loving each other and others through this season of opportunities.
In continuing our series of "Resiliency Rules," I wanted to share with you Resiliency Rule 07 - Attitude, Effort, and Focus
As I have coached my athletes through the years it has been very apparent that we as coaches, players, fans and family can only control 3 things in life. Our attitude. Believing the best in ourselves and most importantly others. Our Effort. Giving our all for a purpose greater than ourselves. Our focus. Keeping our eyes clear of distraction and full of love for others (Clear Eyes, Full Hearts, Can’t Lose!) It reminds me of a quote from on the greatest leaders of all time Martin Luther King Jr.
“If it falls to your lot to be a street sweeper, sweep streets like Michelangelo painted pictures, sweep streets like Beethoven composed music ... Sweep streets like Shakespeare wrote poetry. Sweep streets so well that all the host of heaven and earth will have to pause and say: Here lived a great street sweeper who swept his job well.”
― Martin Luther King Jr.
So as you go through the ups and downs of a season remember that you have a great opportunity to be the best you! That is all you can control!

“Before success comes patience... When we add to our accomplishments the element of hard work over a long period of time, we place a far greater value on the outcome. When we are patient, we'll have a greater appreciation of our success.”
