The year was 1934 when Mr. John Wooden returned back to his home state of Indiana to teach. As a young teacher and coach it became apparent to him that there was more to success then just winning a game. He began to develop what we know today as his “Pyramid of Success.” His goal then and our goal today is to inspire our teammates/each other as a team to reach our highest potential on and off the field. Wooden’s exhortation, “If you want to make anything better in your life, school, and community, you need to set your goals and expectations high so that the significant change is measurable by all.” This week let’s identify where we can improve and seek significant change (Word of the Week - Care). From coaches to players let us all get better this week as we pursue our perfect effort / personal best!
