Both JV and varsity had blowout wins over Classical Academy last Thursday at Kit Carson Park, but the varsity game scheduled for Friday against Bayfront Charter was rained out and will be made up on April 26. 

This coming week varsity has games on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, while the JV team’s next game is not until a week from Monday at Ramona. 

This week’s schedule is as follows: 

Monday-Varsity home game vs. Ramona at the Charter field at 4:00. (no early release) JV has the day off

 

Tuesday-practice from 4:30 to 6:00 for both varsity and JV 

Wednesday-Varsity home game vs. Tri City Christian at 4:00. Early release at 2:45. This is a league game. JV-practice following the varsity game 

Thursday-practice from 4:30 to 6:00 for both varsity and JV 

Friday-Varsity away game at Foothills Christian in Santee at 3:30. Early release at 1:30. This is a league game. JV practice from 4:30 to 6:00 

Ytalia’s parents are planning a taco day at the snack bar most likely on Wednesday this week. They will provide the ingredients as a team fundraiser. We are looking for other families to step up and host a snack bar item at one of the remaining home games. We have a propane powered bar-b-que grill in the snack bar. 

San Diego CIF uses the power rankings (a points system) to seed teams into the playoffs. The power rankings have not been released so far this season, but Charter is currently ranked 7th in Division III by Max Preps. Our goal is to be ranked in the top four to get a first round bye and guaranteed home game(s) in the playoffs.
