Amazing Team Cross Country,
Here is the information about our upcoming fundraiser. We need at least 35 guests and we need a minimum of $250 in pre-tax sales for us to receive a donation check. I encourage each of you to personally invite at least five people you know to the event.
Fundraiser participants can order online at rubios.com or through the Rubio’s mobile app and enter promo code “RubiosDonates” at checkout. People can also present the attached flyers (click here) for orders placed in the restaurant. (Spanish flyers are included). Keep in mind flyers may not be distributed inside Rubio’s, within 100 yards of the restaurant, or in the Rubio’s parking lot before or during our event. Flyers may be printed or presented on a mobile device for in-store orders.
If you have any other ideas about how to publicize our event, please contact me.
Day: Wednesday, December 9th, 2020
Time: 4pm - 8pm
Location: Rubio’s, 1485 East Valley Parkway - Escondido, CA 92027
Also, I have been monitoring your grades. (Yes, head coaches have access to this information). Some of the student athletes who have attended our cross country conditioning practices have below a 3.0 or below a 2.0. Please do absolutely everything you can over Thanksgiving break to raise your grades. To be eligible to participate in the official cross country season, students must have at least a 2.0 grade point average.
Some of you also have siblings in my 7th grade classes. Keep in mind that I ask them how you are doing. Remember, an athlete is a leader. While sibling squabbles are natural, you should always be kind and mentor your younger siblings :)
Lastly, just a reminder we are no longer holding cross country conditioning sessions on Wednesdays. We will start official cross country practices in December when the sport officially begins. Details about official season practices will be shared in December. If you run on your own in the meantime, please make sure to follow all CDC guidelines and the advice of your parents/guardians and medical care providers.
Please always feel free to contact me with questions and comments. Have a beautiful day!
